Week 10 Nonprofit-government relations: The public policy and advocacy perspectives – Alena Kluknavská 9. 12. 2020
This lecture focuses on the models of
nonprofit-government relations and the connection between civil society and the
state. Mainly, it looks at complementary, supplementary, and adversarial
relations of government and non-profit. Figuratively, it asks, whether are these
actors friends or foes? Further, the lecture looks into the topic of political
advocacy of nonprofit and social movement organizations, looking particularly
at lobbying, challenges, regulations and focusing on examining a voice of
nonprofit and social movement organizations in politics.
