Object-oriented Methods for Design of Information Systems

Week 01: Introduction, OO fundamentals

Evaluation and exam:

In-term assessment [50 points max]

  • In the middle of the semester (will be specified), at the time of the lecture. Followed by a (voluntary) retake test scheduled 1-2 weeks later at a specified time (other than the lecture time). Anybody can attend, even those who have already attended the previous test.
  • These two tests are the only way to get 50 points (max) for the final assessment. Students who don't attend any of these two in-term exams will lose 50 points and will face trouble achieving the minimum 50 points required to finish the course (with a grade E) successfully!
  • Form: Online test with multi-choice and open questions like “Let’s assume the following situation: ... What design pattern do you use and why?” Focused on analysis and design patterns.
  • Sample test (limited to a single analytical and a single design pattern):

Final exam [50 points max]

  • During the examination period.
  • On-site multi-choice test + practical questions (drawing a model).
  • Focused on the whole content.
