Lecture title: Knowledge Graph Embeddings for Biodata

Knowledge graph embeddings are supervised learning models that learn vector representations of nodes and edges of labelled, directed multigraphs. I will describe their design rationale, and explain why they are receiving growing attention within the burgeoning graph representation learning community. Besides a theoretical overview, I will present AmpIiGraph, the Accenture Labs open source library that implements such models, and describe real-world industry case studies in drug discovery and precision healthcare.

Luca Costabello is research scientist in Accenture Labs Dublin, where he leads the Labs BioInnovation team. His research interests span knowledge graphs applications for biodata, machine learning for graphs, and explainable AI.
