Reflection paper on this article

In the context of this course, you will be expected to write two reflection papers on academic journal articles. The first reflection paper should be written on the article posted above, written by Nilholm & Göransson (2017). To facilitate your understanding of what will be assessed in these papers, it's crucial to be aware of the following criteria:

  1. Word Count: Adhere to the specified word count range (300 – 400 words in this case). Being concise while conveying your thoughts effectively is essential. An alternative is submitting 2 - 3 minutes long video or audio recording.
  2. Engagement with Key Concepts: The reflection paper should effectively convey an understanding of the primary concepts and ideas presented in the assigned academic journal article. Evaluation will be based on the accuracy of identifying and engaging with these core concepts.
  3. Critical Analysis: The expectation is to demonstrate critical thinking skills beyond mere summarization. A successful reflection should critically assess the article's strengths, weaknesses, and implications, showcasing thoughtful analysis.
  4. Integration of Personal Insights: Reflection papers should extend beyond summarizing the article. Incorporating personal insights and experiences is encouraged. The aim is to explore how the article relates to individual perspectives or prior knowledge, offering a unique viewpoint.
  5. Clarity of Expression: Effective communication is essential. Reflection papers should exhibit a clear structure with well-defined introductions, body sections, and conclusions. Attention to the quality of writing, including grammar, spelling, and overall readability, is expected.
  6. Supporting Evidence: To bolster arguments and reflections, it's essential to provide relevant evidence from the journal article. References to specific passages, quotes, or data from the article should be used to substantiate points and demonstrate engagement with the source material.

These criteria emphasize critical thinking abilities, the capacity to connect content to personal experiences, and proficiency in conveying thoughts effectively in writing.

The reflection paper should be submitted to the Homework Vault "Reflection paper on Nilholm & Goransson 2017" by 23:59 o'clock on 5 November 2023.
