Dear students,
welcome to the course Creative Information Work. We will guide you through the complete course. It will take 12 weeks.
There will be every week a new module here in the Information System in the interactive e-learning environment.
At the end of this course, students should be able to:
- define and use methods of information overload
- effectively apply principles of brainstormin
- prepare mind maps
- utilize methods of effective reading and creative writing
- use tools for information gathering (polling,questionnaire, surveys)
- design and prepare catchy presentation
- interpret elements of verbal and nonverbal communication
- etc.

During this course you will have to do 10 homeworks. You will always have 2 weeks for working on your homework. Submission deadline will be highlighted in every lesson. Homeworks are marked either *1 (all right) or *0 (something is not OK, correct it).
There is no test at the end of the course. You must do every homeworks to complete the course. We suggest you to use Mozilla browser.
Tutor of this course is:
Dagmar Chytková - tutor of information literacy (project CEINVE).
She graduated from the Department of Information and Library Studies and the Department of Czech Language and Literature at the Faculty of Arts at Masaryk University. She participated in the preparation and tutoring of the Course of information literacy, and has much experience with e-learning courses. She is preparing a thematic training on the topic of brainstorming in the Central Library of the Faculty of Arts of MU. She considers creative techniques very important and beneficial (not only) to students.
