Seminář projektu Impact, KA5 Popdora internacionalizace MU, s názvem "Writing Skills for Academic Purposes" se uskutečnil ve čtvrtek 3. 4. 2014 v prostorách Otevřené zahrady Nadace Partnerství. Přednášejícím byla Katie Mansfield.
Students need to be aware of what is expected of them when writing for specific disciplines and it is the role of teachers to be able to explicitly teach students these expectations. This course, therefore, gives participants an opportunity to develop an understanding of ways to analyse the different genres that exist in the disciplines they teach, using corpus tools and different techniques. The course will also look at a number of online tools which students can utilize once outside the academic writing classroom.
