Time required: In addition to the course, at least 3 hours. It depends on previous knowledge of the English language and orientation in the field of industrial chemistry.

Course schedule: According to the schedule published in IS. In addition, communication with the teacher is carried out if necessary (e.g. e-mail, MS-Teams, personal consultation). During the lesson, the tasks listed in chapter 1.2 of this interactive syllabus are worked out gradually together with the teacher. The last meeting is mainly intended for the final consultation of the most problematic tasks.

Key study content: The main mission of the course is primarily to practice working with an English chemical text. Adequate mastery of this skill is checked through the written processing of the tasks listed in chapter 1.2 of this syllabus and is supported through communication with the teacher during the oral discussion of the assigned tasks.

Providing feedback: At the end of each consultation, students hand in written tasks to the teacher according to the list given in chapter 1.2. (legible handwritten notes on paper are preferred, but it is also possible to send a photo/scan of the tasks). Until the next meeting, the teacher will correct the protocols. During the next meeting, the mistakes are discussed with the students personally

Support for communication: Discussions about solving tasks with the teacher and between students take place both directly in class and via e-mail, MS-Teams, and personal consultations.
