Cíle předmětu
The aim of the course is to give the students a chance to understand principles of policy formulation and policy analysis in the general context; learn to use policy analysis methods and use that general framework for detailed insight into one of the most important public policies - health policy.
Výstupy z učení
Student will be able to:
- evaluate outputs and coutcomes of puiblic policies
- to understand the complexicy of public policy issues - to analyze the process of policy formulation and implementation
- to understand basic priciples of health care sector and health economics
Osnova
  • The course is split into two parts. The first one provides a general knowledge base about policy analysis while the second applies this knowledge on health policy.
  • MODULE 1 – PUBLIC POLICY AND ITS ANALYSIS

Výukové metody
Main learning methods: lectures, seminars with group discussions, readings (200-250 pages).
Tutorials are held one per two weeks, while a week without contact with a tutor is designated for reading.
Metody hodnocení
Reaching at least 50% from a midterm exam is required for an access to the final oral examination.
The final grade is composed of: 20% essay presentation and defense, 30% essay midterm, 50% midterm
