Anotace
A dissertation thesis proposal is an important control mechanism, the purpose of which is to verify whether the student will be able to successfully continue and complete their dissertation. The defense of the thesis proposal is, therefore, a significant milestone in doctoral studies.  A description of the required structure and content of the thesis proposal is specified in more detail at https://www.fi.muni.cz/studies/doctoral/thesis.html.en.
Výstupy z učení
The student will successfully defend the dissertation thesis proposal and thereby receive essential feedback on their scientific performance, planned activities and research outcomes for the remainder of their studies.
Klíčová témata
There is no special tuition. Before the thesis defense, students receive two reviews and, in cooperation with the supervisor, prepare both the presentation and the responses to the reviewers' questions and comments.

Náhradní absolvování
In one semester, there is only one possible attempt for successful completion of the course. The earliest term for the next attempt is the next semester, and the defense committee instructs the student about the necessary corrections of the thesis proposal.
