- Course objectives
- The aim of this course is to obtain a comprehensive view on human body and morphological factors influencing its movement. For this, it is necessary to understand the basics of individual organs and organ systems structures, especially the anatomy of the skeletal system, joints and muscles.
- Learning outcomes
- Successful completion of the subject Anatomy will allow you to understand the basic structure and structure of the human body - the necessary attributes for perceiving the body as a whole.
The acquired knowledge from the area of functional anatomy will then be applied in follow-up professional subjects.
The FSpS graduate must have an anatomical idea of the human body in order to understand the possibilities of adaptation, training, exercise and regeneration of the organism in childhood, adulthood and old age.
Completing the course Anatomy is a necessary prerequisite for the enrollment of courses followed in further study at the FSpS. - Syllabus
- The content of the lectures and the related seminars and exercises includes:
- Introduction to the study of anatomy – cell, tissue, terminology, bones – structure, bone connections, joints – components, movements
- Axial skeleton and bone connections
- Upper limb skeleton and bone connections
- Lower limb skeleton and bone connections
- Muscles – structure, muscles of the head, neck, back, and abdomen (including movement functions)
- Muscles of the upper limb (including movement functions)
- Muscles of the lower limb (including movement functions)
- Anatomy of the digestive system
- Anatomy of the respiratory system
- Anatomy of the cardiovascular and lymphatic systems
- Anatomy of the urogenital system
- Anatomy of the endocrine system
- Anatomy of the nervous and sensory systems

- Teaching methods
- A) Lectures on selected topics – as an introduction to the study
B) Practical sessions and seminars expanding on the topics presented in the lectures; participation in the practical sessions requires knowledge of the basic information related to the specific lesson topic
C) Self-study of the recommended literature - Assessment methods
- The course Anatomy is typically concluded with an examination. The basic requirements for being granted the opportunity to take the exam are: Fulfillment of all obligations prescribed within the course (successful completion of seminars, submission of all worksheets, successful completion of ongoing tests—part of every seminar—with a minimum score of 70%, or passing the final credit test); fulfilling these obligations is a prerequisite for taking the exam. Completion of a written examination (graded on a scale from A to F). Attendance at seminars is mandatory. A maximum of 2 absences is tolerated. Any missed topics must be made up and explained by the student.
