Cíle předmětu
Attending two practical lectures directly at companies operating in the energy or environmental sector is designed to enhance students’ competitiveness and employability on the labor market. For this purpose, students will visit institutions and enterprises involved in the Czech energy industry. The company practice will take the form of lectures delivered by company representatives or excursions to professional facilities, which will allow students to connect their theoretical knowledge with practical demonstrations from the field.
Výstupy z učení
By completing this course, students will: - gain a deeper understanding of how enterprises in the energy and environmental sectors operate, - broaden their overview of the Czech energy industry, - increase their chances of employment in the field.
Osnova
During the semester, two field trips will take place (most likely on Fridays, with consideration given to possible scheduling conflicts with other courses). The specific program of the course (dates of the trips and confirmed institutions, including those under negotiation) will be discussed with students, who will also have the opportunity to contribute to the selection of institutions to be visited. Due to the logistical and organizational complexity of the course, it is not possible to set the exact program well in advance, but students will be informed in sufficient time.

Metody hodnocení
Active participation in both field trips is mandatory. The course will be concluded with a written essay of approximately 5 standard pages. The aim of the essay is to develop a critical perspective on a selected issue related to the topics discussed during the excursions.
