Course objectives
The course is practical in nature. Its aim is gradual adaptation of students to hospital environments and emergency medical services. Allows application of theoretical knowledge in terms of clinical departments and institutes cnicční prehospital and hospital emergency care. It introduces the basic nursing care to the standard types of departments, including outpatient component, and specialized care, characteristic for prehospital and hospital emergency care. Students work under the mentorship of clinical practice at accredited workplaces. Departments have a logical sequence in the direction from the standard of care to highly specialized. Students will be able to identify individual bio-psycho-socio-spiritual needs of clients using diagnostic algorithm, suggesting practically implement and evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care in collaboration multidisciplinary team, apply their theoretical knowledge into practice.
Learning outcomes
Practical instruction is focused on instructive knowledge, skills, habits and stereotypes / algorithms for nursing in standard care departments, gradual acquisition of stereotypes and their consolidation.
Syllabus
  • Gradual acquisition of stereotypes and their consolidation, independent work with patient documentation, monitoring of his / her needs, compilation and realization of the nursing plan in natural conditions, continuous evaluation of performed nursing activities, changes in interventions, leading to the treatment of the patient's health condition, nursing care of individual age categories, and the transfer of information to the members of the medical team.
  • Organization of work dispatcher of the medical rescue service center, TAPP and TANR, communication with callers, algorithms of activities and cooperation with other emergency services.
  • Healthcare technician needed for monitoring patient / client status.

Teaching methods
Students work under the supervision of mentors, according to the instructions, the lecturers prepare a seminar paper focusing on the nursing process of the selected patient.
Assessment methods
Students are evaluated on a school form tutor at individual workplaces. Condition for completion of the course will commit to 3 entries for the exit - a school form.
