- Course objectives
- Literature for children and young adults from the most common topics and genres point of view.
- Syllabus
- The publishing of magazines for children and youth. Folk literature and its place in the reading material of children. A detailed genre characteristics, adaptators and collectors. Poetry for children and youth, new authors in the contemporary poetry. Authors’ fairy tales. Diversity of types of authors’ fairy tales in the contemporary literature, authors’ adaptations of both foreign and domestic folk topics. Story fiction with the child character. Adventure literature for youth. Fiction with the girl character. Genre changes in the course of the 20th century, forms of the contemporary fiction with the girl character. Fiction with the historical topic, the position of historical literature in the context of the literature for youth. Fiction with topics relating to nature.
