Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with psychological knowledge and concepts on case studies.
Learning outcomes
Through observation and reflection of children's manifestations in learning situations and related communication events, students have the opportunity to deepen their ability to prepare an adequate program, work with common and specific needs of children, adequately support their development and adaptation in kindergarten, adequately communicate with children, their parents and work team and last but not least to reflect and secure your own needs and limits.
Syllabus
  • Developmental psychological concepts of developmental needs and tasks with an emphasis on knowledge of the indiviudual specifics of children's development between the age of toddler and school, developmental changes in cognition, experience, activities and relationships. Work with topics of social (communication, group, leadership) and educational psychology (classroom climate, teacher interaction style) and psychohygiene (stress, conflict, crisis management) with the aim to integrate psychological knowledge into didactic and pedagogical approach.
