Course objectives
In accordance with the MUNI Study and Examination Regulations, participation in the seminar is compulsory, only one unexcused absence is allowed. If a student has two or more unexcused absences, he/she will be evaluated with an unsatisfactory grade. Late arrival or early departure will be considered an unexcused absence. The thesis responds to a partial professional problem corresponding to the level of the Bachelor's degree. The thesis must demonstrate the ability to work independently and analytically on the basis of professional including foreign language literature.
Learning outcomes
1.The student will acquire the knowledge necessary to prepare the thesis. 2.The student independently determines the topic of the diploma thesis corresponding to the chosen question in the field of Aesthetics. On the basis of the topic, the student selects relevant literature and determines the method of solution.
Syllabus
  • 1. Thorough reading of the text Eco: How to write a thesis. In each seminar, a selected passage of the text will be read and commented on by the lecturer. 2. Students are invited by the lecturer to choose a topic, they will email their chosen topic to the lecturer, who will then approve or disapprove it; if approved, the lecturer will assign the student a thesis supervisor.

Assessment methods
A student passes the course if 1. his/her absence from attendance does not exceed one (1) unexcused absence (late arrival or early departure will be considered an unexcused absence). 2. he/she submits a thesis project approved by his/her lecturer to the Course Hand-in Form containing the thesis title, annotation, preliminary outline, method of solution and basic literature (at least 10 titles including at least two foreign language titles).
