- Cíle předmětu
- The subject’s aim is to understand and be able toemploy techniques to improve wellbeing through the utilization of modern methods and technology. The subject takes on a practical way of teaching, where students are expected to actively use each of the tools discussed and reflect on their usefulness and potential drawbacks throughout the course. Students should be motivated to work on their own wellbeing throughout the course as a “hands-on” way of understanding how different methods can be used to help others improve their wellbeing.
A genuine enthusiasm to improve wellbeing and use the techniques from the seminar daily is a must for any student wanting to take this subject. Anyone is welcome, especially if you have no experience with the use of the techniques from the course contents. - Výstupy z učení

- Výukové metody
- The course consists of small group seminars once every 2 weeks that require one to complete homework in between the sessions and then actively discuss it in class.
- Metody hodnocení
- The course is assessed through a written reflection at the end of the course, where the student chooses one of the techniques to better wellbeing discussed in class and reflects on it. The main portion of the reflection should include a description of how exactly the student incorporated it into their daily life and describe benefits it brought to them. Then, they should reflect on drawbacks of the technique used and reasons why this technique may not be suitable for everyone. They are also asked to pick their least favourite technique, or one they did not find beneficial to use and more briefly describe why that was. They should then reflect how, on the other hand, others may benefit from that technique or for who it may be suitable (again, more briefly). Students are encouraged to include personal input, but their explanations should be grounded in theoretical background (if applicable). This written reflection should be at least 3 pages long and is a pass or fail condition. Secondly, students are required to attend at least 80% of the seminars and complete homework assigned before each class, at it is essential to the success of the seminar as a whole (due to the reflective nature of the seminar sessions).
