- Course objectives
- The goal of the course is to learn defined lexicon via interaction with a native signer. Although the main focus is given on the acquisition of the CSL lexicon, there will also be a practical training of the grammar learned in the course Czech Sign Language III. At the end of the course, students are familiar with the lexicon defined by the given four thematic areas. They understand and can actively use both single lexemes and phrases concerning different situations.
- Learning outcomes
- Students have enough lexical knowledge to give a clear description or to express their opinions and arguments. They don't have to think much about the lexemes and they are able to use more complicated sentential structures.
- Syllabus
- Thematic areas: 1. Relationships (characteristics of the people I know, my relations to them); 2. Holidays, important events (national holidays, important events in our country, celebration and congratulation); 3. Life Experiences (good and bad life experiences); 4. Environment (nature, natural disasters, wild and exotic animals, plants, agriculture).
