Course objectives
The course provides information relating to the practical use of Standard Czech, with regard to codification of morphological phenomena as it can be found in authoritative sources. The main aim of the course: the students should 1) acquire the knowledge of standard morphological alternatives in all inflective parts of speech, 2) gain the ability to decide for a more suitable alternative, depending on the type of text and 3) to practise using the main sources relating to language codification. The students will understand the process of codification and its practical use, they will learn to solve the problematic features correctly and to use relevant arguments to defend the correct solution.
