Course objectives
The aim of the course to continue with the topic of museum public relations and open themes as museological research of museum public, museum professions in the field of public relations and museum education, typology of their activities, museum audiences and the public, specifics of museum work with children, adults and seniors and several professional and leisure time groups, museum education and museum presentation forms and interactive activities and programms for visitors. At the end of this course students should know, who is the museum public and how to work with several groups.
Syllabus
  • 1. Museum and school, museum and school cooperation, activities for pupils and students, activities for teachers. 2. Work with children and youth, leisure time museum clubs, education of future museum audiences. 3. Museums and adults, leisure time museum clubs and associations by museums and another activities. 4. Interactive activities for visitors, using of new information and communication technologies. 5. Effectiveness of museum presentation forms on museum audiences. 6. Museum communication. Museum as medium. 7. Information kiosks in museums. 8. Museum as a source of sciences, cooperation among scientific institutions, researchers in museums. 9. Cooperation with other governmental and nongovernmental institutions. 10. Practical use of several elements of museum public relations.

Assessment methods
Teaching of the course consists of lectures and presentations of student works to the topics of museum work with the public. During the course students prepare text and oral presentation of student team works to the topic. At the end of the course is oral exam.
