Course objectives
In this follow-up course students practice both receptive and productive skills in Dutch. The aim is to reach level B2 according to the Common European Framework for Languages. At the end of this course, the student should be able to successfully do the exam "Educatief Startbekwaam" from the Certificate Dutch as a Foreign Language, corresponding with this level. By means of the manual Contact! 3 and other materials, the vocabulary is further extended. The focus is on idiom, verbs with fixed prepositions and academic vocabulary. Furthermore several problematic grammatical features are recapitulated.

Teaching methods
Intensive student-orientated seminars: writing, reading, conversation, presentations, prosody, listening and language exercises.
Assessment methods
Presence and active participation are required. The student prepares weekly assignments. The exam consists of a written part (vocabulary, grammar, writing) and an oral part (a presentation, a task based on Certificate Dutch as a Foreign Language and an interview).
