Course objectives
Themes: Assessing personality through drawings, expression of self-image; interpreting children drawings; drawing techniques; mandala: systemic relationships, mandala: expression in drawings; effectiveness of images; external space vs projective space; creative power of folk art; drawings in psychological diagnostics of children and adults.
Learning outcomes
After this course student will be able to:
- orientate in the field of external and internal (mental) representations;
- interpret products of drawing techniques in psychology;
- interpret graphs and graphical representations from psychological perspective;
- write an essay on issue of pictorial representation
Syllabus
  • Themes: Assessing personality through drawings, expression of self-image; interpreting children drawings; drawing techniques; mandala: systemic relationships, mandala: expression in drawings; effectiveness of images; external space vs projective space; creative power of folk art; drawings in psychological diagnostics of children and adults. Key words: cognitive maps, drawing, graphic production, pictorial perception, representation of the world, seeing, visual illusions
