- Course objectives
- The main objectives of the course are to inform the student about the following knowledge of Greek and Roman civilization: private and public life, state government and offices, participation in public life, education, types of dwellings, clothing; weights and measures, money, ways of life, food, etc., mythology and religion, iconography of the mythology.
- Learning outcomes
- After successfull passing the course, students will be able to:
- Explain political system and social structure in ancient Greece and Rome
- Describe ancient Greek and Roman warfare
- Compare basic characteristics of Greek and Roman religion
- Describe everyday life of Greek and Roman citizens
- Have a good understanding of ancient Greek and Italian geography, and mark the position of well-known archaeological sites - Syllabus
