Course objectives
The lecture is outlined as contribution towards history of world theatre. The lecture attempts to define the crucial stages in the development of theatre by interpretation of particular breakthrough-staging applying symbolism as means of the artistic message. Particular attention will be paid to stage design.

  • Capture of Winter Palace Craigs staging of Hamlet Stanislavskys directorial plan of Othello Victory over the Sun by K. Malevitch Reindhardts experiments on the scene Wassily Kandinsky & abc of the Bauhaus design theory and theory of drama
