Cíle předmětu
Course description: This one is designed to improve every aspect of your everyday English and to help you learn real language skills for real life situations. The courses are based on the communicative method and are aimed to develop all four skills: listening comprehension, speaking, reading and writing; expand your vocabulary and practise grammar.
Výstupy z učení
students will: expand their vocabulary; gain confidence in speaking; practise grammatical structures on given level; improve pronunciation; improve their ability to understand spoken language and to respond appropriately and naturally
Osnova
Textbook: English File Intermediate 4th edition All materials are included in the course fee. Course content - grammar: adjectives present perfect tenses future forms prepositions conditionals comparatives and superlatives Course content - topics and functions: personalities, ages and stages, jobs and careers, entertainment phrasal verbs, collocations, everyday English

Metody hodnocení
Credits will be awarded based on attendance - you must meet 75% attendance to be eligible. The course is a year-long course, 32 hours in total. The autumn term part comprises 17 weeks of teaching, taught during the exam period too. You may miss 8 lessons in total, 5 in the autumn part. In the event of long term illness, please contact the course organiser.
