Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to give overview of technologies, which can be used in teaching at secondary schools. They will be able to use didactic devices in their own practice, they will acquire practical knowledge and skills. They will be aware of up-to-date didactic utensils available on the market.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, student will have these skills: presentation preparation in LaTeX, quizzes preparation in online tools, awareness of interfaces for video and sound transmission, video streaming over the net, working with interactive boards, projectors, displays, simple measurements using wireless digital sensors or microcontrollers etc. Preparation of text games for learning. Student will be oriented in the up-to-date didactic utensils available on the market.
Syllabus
  • Software for online teaching. LaTeX presentations (beamer class), principles for creating presentations. Interfaces for video transfer, video streaming. Data projectors and screens. Interactive whiteboards, projectors and displays, suitable software. Writing in online teaching. Voting systems in teaching, creation of electronic tests. School measuring systems (principles, sensor types, Pasco Capstone and SparkVue, mobile-phone use) and simple microcontrollers. Text games in teaching. 3D printing.
