- Course objectives
- At the end of this course the students should be able to: understand and explain the functions of neural system; define basic structures and their connections; describe cerebral mechanisms which make part in collecting and processing information, its storage in memory and further use, in activating effectors of the organism; describe basic physiological mechanisms determining basic forms of human behavior.

- Teaching methods
- Lectures.
- Assessment methods
- Neuroscience course is terminated by a written test: the students write answers to 3 questions within a two hours. In the 1st question the emphasis is on neuroanatomical knowledge (grade A-F) and in the 2nd question on neurophysiological knowledge (grade A-F). The 3rd question is integrative and tests the student`s ability to describe the topic from the point of view of neuroanatomy (grade A-F) and neurophysiology (grade A-F) together. To pass the exam, student must obtain at least grade E in each evaluated part of the test.
