Course objectives
The aim of the course is to obtain an overview of special education issues and information on education of pupils with special educational needs.
Syllabus
  • Lecture: The current concept of special education, a system of care for the disabled  , compared with foreign countries, the possibility of integration legislation. Basic terminology, categories, methods of diagnosis and the special pedagogy, Etiology, classification of individual failures and defects, the possibility of redress, the application in education to 1 ZŠ stage. List of schools and school facilities for edukaci pupils with special educational needs. The integrated educational-advisory system.
  • Exercise: The concept of special education. Integration, the legislation. The integrated educational-psychological advisory system, Speech etiology, classification, the most common defects and disorders, alternative and augmentative communication, surdopedie etiology, classification of hearing defects, hearing protetika, forms of communication, schools for pupils with hearing defect   specific developmental learning disorders, definition, etiology, classification, diagnosis, characteristics of dyslexia, dysgraphy, dysortografie and dyscalculia, reeducation SPU, the system of care for pupils with     SPU, legislation, classification somatopedie physical defects DMO form the combined disability, LMD, epilepsy, chronic diseases, allergic diseases and astmatická ,   education of pupils with a physical disability, the importance and challenges for school health services, game therapy, oftalmopedie definition of discipline, terminology, etiology, classification of visual defects, especially educational system in support of  , psychopedie conceptual definition and terminology, classification of MR, MR characteristics of each stage, individuals with education   MR, autism etiology, features, education of individuals with Autism  , etopedie concept, definition of basic concepts, classification of behavior disorders and their characteristics, care for individuals with     behavioral problems, an overview of individual equipment, preventive educational care.

Final thesis (4 pages, student chooses a topic). Written test (open and close questions, minimum 65% of correct answers).
