- Course objectives
- The aim of the training in the 1st term of the surgical propedeutics is to introduce the main principles of the surgical care and treatment, training of the basic surgical procedures. The important part of the tuition is knowledge of the complications, its prevention and treatment and also the basic principles, techniques and specifics of the anesthesiology, urology, plastic surgery and children surgery. With the completion of this course the student should be able to provide complete clinical investigation of the surgical patient, and also to give an idea of the direction of the investigational algorithm. The tuition has a form of powerpoint presentations with the practical examples of the patients records (X-rays, CT scans, transfusion applications, application of the parenteral and enteral nutrition) and following discussion about above mentioned themes.

- Assessment methods
- The tuition has a form of presentations with the practical bedside examples of the patients records and procedures (X-rays, CT scans, transfusion applications, application of the parenteral and enteral nutrition) and following discussion about above mentioned themes. Giving the course-unit credit is conditioned by full attendance in the lessons and successfully written test based on the taught themes knowledge.
