Study plan

State Final Exam consists of four parts:
1. Defense of the bachelor thesis;
2. Language competence and skills (knowledge of Croatian language in both theory and praxis, in contrast with other /Southern/ Slavonic languages);
3. Literature and literary theory (knowledge of Croatian literature including ability to set into context of South Slavonic or Balkan and Central European literatures);
4. Knowledge of history and culture of Croatia.
Parts of the State Final Exam are based on curriculum of the profile courses (language courses, theoretical courses and seminars on linguistics, literature and literary science, courses oriented on culture and history).

- Thesis aimed at certain aspects of grammar structure of Croatian language (eventually in contrast with Czech, Slovak or other South Slavonic languages);
- Thesis (could be of contrastive character as well) aimed at certain aspects of vocabulary of Croatian language (eventually in contrast with Czech, Slovak or other South Slavonic languages);
- Reception of works of Croatian literary production in Czech cultural area;
- Croatian literature and contemporary literary trends in the Balkans and Europe;
- Reception of historical events in Croatia in 19th and 20th century in back-then Czech press (Croatian lands within the Habsburg monarchy, World Wars, era of communist regime, era of dissolution of Yugoslavia etc.).
