Abstract

V originále

Participation is used worldwide in many disciplines as a key indicator of social and community inclusion. It can be a useful tool to measure the outcomes of programs focused on supporting inclusive practices in schools, workplace and other areas of social life of people with disabilities. It is currently most commonly used in rehabilitation research as one of the indicators of successful service delivery. This chapter presents the concept of participation as one way of understanding and measuring inclusion based on the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health. It shows its potential use in different disciplines and scientific fields.
