Der Aufsatz hat zum Ziel, die historische Frage zu beantworten, wie die Přemyslidische Thronfolge durch die zeitgenössischen narrativen Quellen des 12 Jhds. reflektiert wurde. Das Hauptanliegen besteht in der Reinterpretation der berühmten Cosmas-Chronik und deren Beschreibung von der Totenbettszene (1055), in der der Böhmenherzog Břetislav I. die Hauptrolle spielt und die meistens als Begründung des Seniorats erläutert wird.

Presented paper aims to answer the question how succession to the Bohemian throne during the Premyslid era was reflected by narrative sources of the 12th century. The main interest lies in re-examining the famous bohemian Chronicle of Cosmas and its description of duke Bretislav Is deathbed scene (1055) that is most often explained as a foundation of the seniority rule.
