The issue of the newsletter provides an article by Dr. Ales Bourek. He tries to provide insight into the recent developments in Health Information Systems outlining new options and tools having the potential to improve the way data is currently used. He also adresses the need and place of a Health Information System and the importance of the sensible use of the collected data. He talks about their use for improvement on levels of self-prevention and self-help and describes distinctively the key to success which he sees as even more than just a symbiosis.
