The presentation introduces a way of using online discussions in EFL university courses for pre-intermediate students. First are introduced selected crucial aspects of the preparation of online discussions, including student grouping and task specifications. Second is described the realization of a discussion task. Third are presented selected ways of student assessment. The presentation is concluded with a brief summary of the results obtained in a research project.

Příspěvek seznamuje posluchače s jedním z možných způsobů, jak použít online diskusi při výuce angličtiny na mírně pokročilé úrovni. V příspěvku se zaměřujeme především na metodické aspekty spojené s přípravou online diskuse, zejména na rozdělení studentů do skupin a specifikaci úkolu; dále se věnujeme samotné realizaci diskusního úkolu z hlediska učitele. Poté uvádíme možnosti, jak zapojení studentů do diskuse hodnotit a jak dále pracovat texty studentů. V závěru stručně uvádíme vybrané výsledky souvisejícího výzkumu.
