The theme of the 21st Conference was "Old Challenges and New Horizons". Most papers were concerned with giving new answers to old questions in various disciplines, posing questions which have not been asked yet in the particular fields of study. PASE conferences aim to bring together scholars working in various fields of English Studies: English and American literature and culture, theoretical and applied linguistics, translation studies.
