Studijní materiál „Informační a komunikační technologie 1“ předkládá základní informace z oblasti hardware, software a počítačových sítí. V textu je popsána historie a hlavní pojmy informačních a komunikačních technologií, základní součásti počítače, operační systémy a software. Další kapitoly se zabývají oblastí počítačových sítí a internetu, bezpečnostními riziky a antivirovou ochranou počítače. Čtenář získá úplný přehled o složení a funkci počítače, možnostech sítí a komunikaci, dozví se principy činnosti jednotlivých součástí počítače. Naučí se konfigurovat a spravovat operační systém, rozpoznávat bezpečností rizika a popsat služby a principy komunikace v počítačových sítích.

The study material “Information and communication technologies 1” presents basic information from the field of hardware, software and computer networks. There is described history together with the key terms from the field of ICT, essential parts of computers, operating systems and software. Next chapters deal with the Internet and computer networks, security threats and virus protection. The reader will get a complete overview of computer functioning and possibilities of networks and communication and will learn the principles of functioning of computer components. The reader will also learn to configure and maintain the operating system, identify security risks and describe the services and the principles of communication in computer networks.
