Die Bedeutung der ersten Verfassungsregelung der Verfassungsgerichtsbarkeit in einem sozialistischen Staate war für die weitere Entwicklung in der damaligen Tschechoslowakei von großer Bedeutung und wurde zum wichtigen Argument binnen sog. Prager Frühling im Jahre 1968 für die Verankerung der Verfassungsgerichtsbarkeit im System der Staatsorgane der künftigen tschechoslowakischen Föderation. Der Verfasser kompariert die heutige Stellung und Kompetenzen des Verfassungsgerichtes der Tschechischen Republik.

The importance of the first constitutional regulation of the constitutional justice in a socialist State had great importance for the further development of the Czechoslovakia of and became the important argument during the so-called Prague Spring in 1968 for the enshriment of the Constitutional Court in the system of the State bodies of the future Czechoslovak Federation. The author compares then the present position and competences of the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic.
