V originále
This paper briefly describes the current position of Czech cooperatives - production and agricultural - using various indicators. Among these indicators, tested on sample of 45 cooperatives from the Czech Republic are: continuity of operation after political changes in the Czech republic, status of profitability, benefits for members of cooperative and the settings of the voting right in the members assembly. These indicators are then partly connected together, showing some implications on the function of cooperatives and their profit. In the end, this paper suggests the close relationship of the agricultural cooperatives to joint-stock companies. The production cooperatives show closer relation to the COOP principles, but also declare lower number of profitable coops in sample.
