This paper shares an effective implementation of innovative teaching approaches to the university classroom. It offers a practice-oriented insight in the opportunities of creative language learning on the level of single tasks, series of interconnected activities and whole courses, all of which being results of the Masaryk University Language Centre (Brno, Czech Republic) recent project and research activities. The implementation of the creative approach based on theories of K. Robinson, M. Csikszentmihalyi, E. de Bono and others who see creativity as a natural component of learning and communication is discussed from the perspectives of both teachers and learners. This paper aims to highlight the potential creative methods and techniques have to improve and broaden personal teaching styles of language teachers; to enhance and alter personal learning styles of language learners; and to reform and diversify language courses of university language centres
