The concept of statesmanship has been often analyzed with its companion concept, which is demagoguery. In the first part of my contribution, I will delineate the basic outlines of the concept of demagoguery. In its second part, drawing from the literature on rhetorical revival in political theory, I will discuss how the potential remedies on the old problem of demagoguery can be elaborated.
