Abstract
Tvořihrázský les (district Znojmo) is a model territory, where we try to create a concept of possible protection within the legislative frame of heritage management in the Czech Republic. We started to address the issue of research and preservation in the Tvořihrázský les region back in 2007. The original aim of the project was to explore the hinterland of long investigated prehistoric settlements in the area of Těšetice-Kyjovice site. A wide variety of methods is used for prospecting the area of Tvořihrázský les woodland: methods of studying the natural environment (palaeoecology, sedimentology, vegetation ecology), traditional search for new sites (field survey, metal detector survey, survey of ploughed areas before new forest planting, microprobes), predictive modelling and identifying of new structures using the available data from Airborne Laserscanning.
