Zpracovaná publikace, která zahrnuje dvě části, je zaměřena na problematiku hodnocení sluchového vnímání a rozvoje komunikačních dovedností dětí s těžkým postižením sluchu. V první části se nachází teoretická východiska k vývoji komunikace dítěte se sluchovým postižením za využití sluchové protetiky. Ve druhé části publikace jsou prezentovány výsledky výzkumu, který má smíšený charakter. Na základě dotazníkového šetření a rozhovorů s logopedy a speciálními pedagogy byly analyzovány nástroje užívané při hodnocení sluchového vnímání dětí s postižením sluchu ve věku 0–36 měsíců. Vedle toho byly využity zahraniční dotazníky hodnotící sluchové vnímání dětí raného věku IT-MAIS a LittlEARS, na jejichž adaptaci do českého jazyka se autorka publikace sama podílela.

Presented publication is divided into two parts containing the issues of hearing perception assessment and the communication skills abilities in early age children with hearing loss. In the first part of the publication there are the theoretical outcomes about the communication development in child with hearing impairment while using hearing support. The second part of the publication deals with the research results based on the mixed model design. Based on the questionnaire research and the interviews with the speech therapists and special education teachers there has been analysed the tools used for hearing perception assessment in children with hearing loss at the age 0-36 months. Apart from above mentioned also the questionnaires for hearing perception evaluation in the early age had been involved as IT-MAIS and LittlEARS. The author of the publication took participated in the adaptation of the test battery for the Czech environment.
