As the number of bioinformatics services grows, there is a need for a platform which can be used for their cataloging and efficient searching so that users can find an appropriate tool for a given task. The result of the collaborative effort of ELIXIR partners led to a creation of bio.tools database which describes the tools and databases formally using EDAM ontology. Moreover, bio.tools has a public API which makes all the information accessible via automatized means. bio.tools Sum presents a novel interface built upon this API. Originally, it was meant as a dynamic replacement of https://www.elixir-czech.cz/services page, however, it can be configured to any collection available in bio.tools, e.g., particular laboratory or institute, project etc. Combined with data from Europe PMC APIs, bio.tools Sum also provides detailed information about publications and their citations. To simplify creating various kinds of reports about tools associated with a certain collection, we provide an interface which can generate them in the form of .docx or .xlsx file. Current version of the bio.tools Sum application focused on ELIXIR-CZ tools can be accessed at http://ncbr.muni.cz/biotoolssum. The application is frontend-only, written in ReactJS framework and requires any modern web browser.
