The anthropometric parameters of managers working for a global company based in Brno showed that most men belong to category “robust” (61.25% of men); an average male respondent belongs to the overweight zone. Equal number of women (8, i.e. 33.3% of women) belongs to category “proportionate” and “robust”, an average woman in the group of respondents belongs to the zone of normal weight. The reason is, among others, sedentary employment of managers – most respondents stated that they spend 8-10 hours a day sitting. Eating habits of examined groups of respondents were evaluated as fairly good. 38.5%of employees who took part in this survey eat three meals a day, just slightly fewer – 36.5% of employees eat 4 meals a day. The most satisfactory answer, i.e. 5 meals a day was given by 10.6% of respondents. Respondents typically have 3 main meals a day – breakfast, lunch and dinner. 68.3% of respondents have daily breakfast and 61.5% of them daily lunch. Dinner is the most popular meal among respondents – 75% of them have dinner every day. Eating dinner apparently has a social function as well, because a family meet at the table after a long working day. Here, we can assume the answer to the question whether the employees would welcome a lunch break during long meetings – surely they would, since most of them are used to have lunch every day, if they have a chance. Concerning food type, 83.6% of employees consume bread every day or several times a day, 53.2% of employees consume fruit with the same frequency and 76.9% of them like dairy products alike. Consumption of vegetable and fish is not sufficient, on the other hand sausages and sweets are consumed in excess. Neither fast food nor instant foods are popular in respondents, which is positive.
