It is a fact that technology helped mankind and from the academic point of view provided enhanced opportunities to learn. However, it also gives the means and resources to those students who would like to commit unethical academic behaviours. The first topic we would like to address is the James Bond like hi-tech used to cheat during written and oral examination, such as glasses with camera, smart watches, broadcasting devices (sound and image), etc. The second, is the online paper mill companies, usually hire university students, or graduates, to ghost-write essays / papers, master / doctoral theses, research papers at customer request. In most sophisticated cases professional writers are hired increasing the price of the service. The companies’ request from concrete information about the paper to write, such as word count, number of pages, topic, time when it needed to be submitted). Clients are charged per page.
