Abstract
The aim of the chapter is to describe the role of public transportation within changing political and socio-spatial patterns of the post-socialist city. Focusing to the post-socialist CEE countries and especially to the case of middle-sized city Brno (the Czech Republic) respective infrastructural development is interpreted within broader discourse of post/socialist urban time-space.

Cílem kapitoly je popsat roli veřejné dopravy v měnícím se politickém a socio-prostorovém kontextu post-socialistického města. S důrazem na postsocialistické země východní a střední Evropy, respektive na město Brno je příslušný infrastrukturní vývoj interpretován v rámci širší diskuse postsocialistického městského časoprostoru.
