Konference byla připravená s cílem podpořit proces začleňování dětí – cizinců s odlišným mateřským jazykem do běžného chodu české mateřské školy. Téma je navýsost aktuální nejen v ČR, ale také v jiných zemích, z nichž je možné čerpat inspiraci. V rámci prosazování Úmluvy o právech dítěte je také jednou z aktuálních priorit Světové organizace pro předškolní výchovu – OMEP. V první dopolední části proto byly účastníci seznámeni nejprve s tímto nadnárodním kontextem a následně také s aktuálním stavem v České republice prostřednictvím sdělení zástupců České školní inspekce a Ministerstva školství. Odpolední bloky byly zaměřeny na šíření dobré praxe českých mateřských škol v této oblasti prostřednictvím projektů a osobních zkušeností ředitelek mateřských škol.

The conference was prepared with the aim to support the process of integrating children - foreigners with a different mother language into the normal running of the Czech kindergarten. The topic is highly topical not only in the Czech Republic but also in other countries from which inspiration can be drawn. As part of the enforcement of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, it is also one of the current priorities of the World Organization for Pre-school Education - OMEP. Therefore, in the first morning part, the participants were first acquainted with this transnational context and subsequently also with the current state of affairs in the Czech Republic through the announcements of representatives of the Czech School Inspectorate and the Ministry of Education. The afternoon blocks were aimed at disseminating good practice of Czech kindergartens in this area through projects and personal experience of kindergarten headmasters.
