Anotace

Das Ziel der Konferenz war zu untersuchen, inwieweit das journalistische und das Romanwerk Ludwig Winders nicht nur im Prager deutschen bzw. im jüdischen Kontext betrachtet werden kann, sondern auch im kulturell-arealen Kontext Österreichs (vor 1918) und der Tschechoslowakei (nach 1918) aufgeht. In der Forschungstradition wurden diese Dimensionen von Winders Texten weitgehend vernachlässigt. Aufgrund von seinem mährisch-böhmischen Ursprung und Wohnsitz war Winder vielen Darstellungen der österreichischen Literaturgeschichte fremd, weger der deutschen Sprache seiner Werke wiederum der tschechoslowakischen. Den Beiträgen, die bei der Konferenz präsentiert wurden, lässt sich alllerdings überzeugend entnehmen, dass sowohl die journalistischen Texte Winders (vor und nach 1918) als auch seine Romanwerke (z.B. Die nachgeholten Freuden, Der Thronfolger, Der Kammerdiener u. a.) mit Gewinn als österreichisch oder/und tschechoslowakisch zu lesen sind.

Anotace anglicky

The aim of the conference was to investigate to what extent the journalistic and novel works by Ludwig Winder can be viewed not only in the Prague German or Jewish context, but also in the cultural/areal context of Austria (before 1918) and Czechoslovakia (after 1918). In the research on Winder sofar, these dimensions have been largely neglected. Because of his Moravian-Bohemian origin and place of residence, Winder was alien to many depictions of Austrian literary history, and because of the German language of his works, alien to the Czechoslovak literary history. The papers presented at the conference, however, convincingly show that both the journalistic texts by Winder (before and after 1918) and his novel works open up in an innovative way when read as Austrian or/and Czechoslovak.
