Anotace

Dieser Artikel beschäftigt sich mit der vergleichenden Motivanalyse des Buches in den Geschichten des polnisch-jüdischen Zwischenkriegschriftsteller Bruno Schulz und in der Kurzgeschichte Im Kopf von Bruno Schulz des zeitgenössischern deutsch-jüdischen Prosaautor Maxim Biller. Die Grundlage für den Vergleich des Motives bei beiden Autoren ist das Konzept der deutschen Slawist Renate Lachmann, die auf drei Arten unterschiedet, wie der Manisfesttext (Posttext) auf den Referenztext (Pretext) folgt, dh. drei Strategien für den Umgang mit dem kulturellen Erbe, die entweder kategorisiert, überschreiben werden oder der Posttext versucht den Referenztext abzulehnen und zu löschen. Die Billers Strategie, mit dem „Gedächtnis des Textes“ umzugehen, wird in dem Wissen interpretiert, dass Bruno Schulz im Jahr 1938 zu sein literarisches Idol Thomas Mann den Brief mit einer Geschichte auf Deutsch geschickt hat, der nicht erhalten ist. Genau diese Tatsache eines Briefes-Buches, der nicht mehr ist, erlaubt dem Biller, einen doppelten Dialog zu führen, sowohl mit der ikonischen Rolle von Thomas Mann in der deutschen Kultur als auch mit dem Autor Der Zimtläden, der zu einer literarischen Ikone des 21. Jahrhunderts wird.

Tento článek se věnuje komparativní analýze motivu Knihy v povídkách meziválečného polského židovského spisovatele Bruna Schulze a v novele současného německého židovského prozaika Maxima Billera Im Kopf von Bruno Schulz. Základním východiskem pro srovnání motivu u obou autorů je pojetí intertextuality německé slavistky Renate Lachmann, která rozlišuje tři způsoby, jakými manifestovaný text (posttext) navazuje na referenční text (pretext), tedy tři strategie zacházení s kulturním dědictvím, které je buď rozepisováno, přepisováno anebo se posttext pokouší o popření a vymazání pretextu. Billerovu strategii zacházení s „pamětí textu“ přitom interpretujeme u vědomí skutečnosti, že Bruno Schulz adresoval v roce 1938 svému literárnímu idolu Thomasi Mannovi dopis s povídkou, který se však nedochoval. Právě tato skutečnost dopisu-Knihy, která není, umožňuje Maximu Billerovi vést podvojný dialog jak s ikonickou rolí Thomase Manna v německé kultuře, tak s drohobyčským autorem Skořicových krámů, jenž se stává literární ikonou 21. století.

This article is providing a comparative analysis of the book theme in the short stories of the interwar Polish Jewish writer Bruno Schulz and the novella Inside the Head of Bruno Schulz written by the current German Jewish novelist Maxim Biller. The basic point for the comparison of this motive in both authors is the concept of intertextuality communicated by the German Slavist Renate Lachmann, who distinguishes three ways in which the manifested text (posttext) follows the reference text (pretext), i.e. three strategies for dealing with cultural heritage, which is either written down, rewritten or the posttext attempts to deny and delete the pretext. We interpret Biller's strategy of dealing with the "memory of the text" with the fact that in 1938, Bruno Schulz addressed his literary idol Thomas Mann in a letter containing a short story. This letter, however, was not preserved to this day. It is precisely this letter – non-book, that allows Maxim Biller to conduct a double-entry dialogue with the iconic role of Thomas Mann in the German culture, as well as with the Drohobych author of The Cinnamon Shops, the emerging literary icon of the 21st century.
