V originále

Background: People with intellectual disabilities (ID) represent a high-risk group in the context of oral health. Novel biopsychosocial interventions are required to improve their oral health outcomes through enhancing oral hygiene behaviors and attitudes. Specially-designed, electric toothbrushes, and disclosing chewing tablets are potentially beneficial interventions that need better evidence about their clinical significance and cost-effectiveness for this special group of people.
