The article reports on how the social network Twitter influenced communication among the activists who created the Black Lives Matter movement in its early stages. It also looks into the origin of the movement and the iconic phrase "Stay Woke", which later acquired a different meaning. The BLM originated through Twitter in 2013 and has, through social media, influenced how the general society uses the platform and how the ideas and ideals posted on the network influence the users.
